GLB Team

Running one of Nevada’s oldest insurance agencies requires a professional team rich in local history and experienced in the insurance industry. The management of GLB Insurance Group of Nevada brings generational insurance experience and long-time Nevada residents together in one leadership team.

Led by CEO Russ A. Swain, each member of the GLB Insurance Team is a second-generation insurance professional. Russ’s father, Russell E. Swain, became a principal in the company in 1961. He later introduced his son to the business in 1979, and Russ carried on the family tradition when he became a principal in 1988.

Family history extends to Geoff Holmes, whose father was also in the insurance business and helped him get into the industry. Holmes’s business, Holmes and Caldwell merged with GLB Insurance Group of Nevada in 2000.

Siblings Gary and Diane Prater ran Atkin & Prater for 11 years before merging with GLB Insurance in 2004. Family-owned and operated, Atkin & Prater was originally co-founded by their father who taught them both about the insurance industry.
